MLB Network anncounces schedule of live games for September 23-28
MLB Games with Playoff Implications to Feature New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies & Minnesota Twins; Network to Air Two 2009 IBAF Baseball World Cup Matchups, Including USA-Cuba on Thursday, September 24 and Gold Medal Game on Sunday, September 27MLB.com

MLB Network today announced its live game schedule for September 23 through 28, featuring six live national game broadcasts, including four MLB Pennant Race games and two 2009 IBAF Baseball World Cup games.
MLB Network's afternoon game this week will be the New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim today at 3:30 p.m. ET, featuring Yankees pitcher A.J. Burnett against Angels pitcher Scott Kazmir.
Thursday Night Baseball on September 24 will be the Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Indians at 7:00 p.m. ET featuring Tigers' Cy Young award candidate Justin Verlander against Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco. MLB Network's Victor Rojas and Mitch Williams will call the game from Progressive Field. Viewers in the Tigers' and Indians' home television territories will see the Los Angeles Dodgers at Washington Nationals at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The playoff implications continue into the weekend, as Saturday Night Baseball on September 26 will showcase the St. Louis Cardinals at Colorado Rockies at 8:00 p.m. ET, featuring Cardinals' Cy Young award candidate Adam Wainwright against Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa. On Monday, September 28, MLB Network will continue the Pennant Race coverage with the Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers at 7:00 p.m. ET.
MLB Network will exclusively air live coverage of the 2009 IBAF Baseball World Cup with a Third Round matchup of Team USA against Cuba in a rematch of the 2007 Gold Medal Game that the USA won 6-3 on Thursday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET. USA will be the home team. MLB Tonight will follow the game live with Greg Amsinger, Barry Larkin, Harold Reynolds and John Hart and lead into Thursday Night Baseball.
Baseball World Cup coverage continues on Sunday, September 27 with an exclusive live telecast of the 2009 IBAF Baseball World Cup Gold Medal Game at 9:00 a.m. ET. Both Baseball World Cup games will be played at Stadio Steno Borghese in Nettuno, Italy.
Additional live games will continue to be announced coinciding with MLB Network's selection windows. Each MLB game this week, except for Thursday Night Baseball will be simulcasts of local broadcasts, including local announcers. MLB games will be blacked out in each team's home television territory unless otherwise noted. Viewers in areas subject to blackouts will be provided with alternate programming.
